As Communication and Content Manager for Colorado Rapids Youth Soccer Club, I help share the many stories of achievement within the organization. In early 2025, one story stood out: 15-year-old Noah Kapustka, a player in our system, was called up to the U.S. Men’s Deaf National Team—making him both the youngest player on the roster and the youngest in club history to reach that level.
Born deaf, Noah fully embraces his identity. As a club, we wanted to highlight that we provide opportunities for all athletes, while also celebrating Noah’s ability—not as a limitation, but as a strength. His story called for more than a single post, so we created a four-minute mini-documentary capturing his journey and his aspiration to one day represent the U.S. at the Olympics.
I led art direction and photography on this project, managing camera setups, script development, and location planning. In post-production, I shaped the video’s narrative by identifying key moments from hours of footage to create a compelling, cohesive story.
The final piece earned over 30,000 views on Instagram and gained traction through promotion from U.S. Soccer Extended National Teams, Soccer.com, and UCHealth—expanding Noah’s reach and positioning him closer to his goals, while elevating the club’s commitment to storytelling beyond traditional content.
